Michele H. Gerber is an expert in neurological rehabilitation, with more than 35 years’ clinical experience with persons who have suffered stroke, head injury, ataxia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease or other lesions of the central nervous system.
Throughout this period she has taught therapists (physical, occupational and speech), nurses, medical doctors and other health-care workers in Europe (Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, England), Canada and USA (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington DC), South Africa (Cape Town, Johannesburg) , Brazil (Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Brasilia), and Australia.
She is qualified as a Senior Instructor NER21 and IBITA (International Bobath Instructors Training Association: www.ibita.org) and is a member of the International Association Neuro-Environmental Rehabilisation 21st Century / NEW21, which is a member-organization of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy.
She is living in Switzerland (Sierre and Montreux) and South Africa (Cape Town).
She is the representative person for the International Federation of Business and Professional Women Association (www.bpw-international.org) by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Geneva.
She is fluent in French, German and English and has presented lectures and papers at many national and international congresses. She has had more than 15 articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
